You will not believe the views! This is a two level unit occupying the 22nd and 23rd floors in Ocean City’s tallest condominium building. It has a totally unique layout where the unit is accessed on the 22nd floor and you walk up to the main level via a stairs in the middle of the unit. This unusual design allows guests to have an oceanfront balcony off the Living Room as well as a bayview balcony off the bedrooms. In fact, the only places in the entire unit where you do not have either ocean or bay views are the two bathrooms. And the views! From the oceanfront balcony, you can see all the way to the Inlet to the South and Northward to Fenwick Island with no view obstructions.
This unit was totally renovated by the former owner to be his permanent residence shortly before his job forced a relocation out of state. We were fortunate to acquire a unit with several upgrade features that would not normally be found in a rental unit such as the custom tile in the kitchen, the corian countertops, and custom cabinets.
Although located on the 22nd and 23rd floors, the Century One has an elevator and floor system which assures rapid access to the beach and ground levels. The elevator has stops on every third floor. The reduction in the number of floor stops significantly reduces the time it takes the elevator to get to the ground floor during the busy season- so elevator waits are not a problem in June, July, and August.
The other high rise problem that has been eliminated are the delays at check in. With other buildings, you have to wait in line for a luggage cart and then stand in line for your turn at the elevator. Since luggage carts are often not returned promptly, check in can take an hour or more during the busy season. Century One has bell hops much like a luxury hotel. They pick up your bags upon your arrival and take them to your floor on a special luggage elevator while you are physically checking in with the Realtor. What could take more than an hour is accomplished in a very few minutes.
